It is a meetup for Real Vampires, Witches, Werekin, Otherkin, Donors, Supporters, and those who are simply curious about us. This group is NOT about role playing games, vampire literature, movies, or TV (although most of us love True Blood), we are also NOT a free resource for reality TV shows (see our media policy). Our Meetup group began in summer 2007, and while our members represent a diverse range of ages and backgrounds, we all share a passion for books. Most members are from the San Fernando or San Gabriel Valleys. We meet on the fourth Thursday of each month at a different member's home for an evening of socializing and book discussion. We currently have a few spaces open for new members. If you'd like to join our group, please submit a membership request.
Who says there has to be shame in being a nerd? Some of us may like Civil War era literature a little too much and Tivo Jeopardy!, but that doesn't mean we can't go out and have a good time. This group is for 20- and 30-somethings who are looking to meet fun, down-to-earth people their age who also happen to share some supposedly 'less than cool' interests. The type of events we do runs the gamut, from board game nights, pub quizzes and ice skating to lectures at the Aquarium of the Pacific and …

I would love to gather with other adult women book lovers and expand our comfort zone in our reading selection. I think in order to find common ground - ideal age would be between 30-60 years. This group will meet once a month and have a different genre of literature to read from and rate when we meet. Book selection is open for suggestion.

Well I think the group name does most of the describing, but the goal here is for people relatively the same age, to pick great books, meet up once a month and discuss them. I want to create a casual and fun atmosphere so that like-minded people can get together, meet people out of their circles, and have the intellectual stimulation that's void from so many of the encounters I've had with people out here in LA. We'll pick from a range of books, and meet wherever the group decides. Ideally, we'd …
